B1 Model Answer (82 words)
Hi Emma, the chart shows that Varna is the cheapest option, and Split and Valencia are also quite affordable. Porto costs a little more but is still reasonable. Nice and Venice are the most expensive cities, so they are not good if you want to save money.I think Valencia is the best choice because it has nice beaches, good food and many activities, and the prices are still low compared to other Western European cities.

B2 Model Answer (104 words)
Hi Emma, I checked the graphic, and the cheapest coastal destination is Varna in Bulgaria, at just €52 per day. Split and Valencia are also affordable, both below €75. Costs increase in Western Mediterranean cities: Nice and Venice exceed €115 a day, making them unsuitable for a low-budget trip. Porto is slightly higher than Valencia but still offers reasonable value. If you want a budget-friendly holiday with good beaches and a lively atmosphere, I’d recommend Valencia. It’s affordable, has excellent food and transport, and offers a lot to do without spending too much.
B2 Tips
✔ Compare cities rather than listing every number✔ Highlight trends (“prices rise…”, “costs remain low…”)✔ Use connectors: “however”, “while”, “on the other hand”✔ Provide a clear recommendation with reasons
Useful phrases:
“According to the data…”
“The most affordable destinations are…”
“I would recommend…, as it offers…”
