📘 B1 Teacher's Guide: Tips & Models

Strategy: Usar adjetivos de personalidad y éxito. Estructura clara: In my opinion / On the other hand / In conclusion. Key Vocab (B1): Famous, celebrity, success, fans, lifestyle, private life, rich.

B1 Model Answer (Essay):

Nowadays, many young people want to be famous. In my opinion, being a celebrity has good and bad things.

On the one hand, if you are famous, you usually have a lot of money. You can live in a big house and travel around the world. Also, many people love you and follow you on Instagram.

On the other hand, celebrities have no privacy. Paparazzi follow them everywhere and they cannot have a normal life. This can be very stressful.

In my view, fame is difficult to manage. In conclusion, I think it is better to be successful in your job but keep your life private.

🎓 Level 2: B2

Part 1: The Compulsory Essay

Word count: 140–190 words

Instructions: You have listened to a podcast about "Influencers and Society."

"Do celebrities have a responsibility to be good role models?"

Notes:

  • Their influence on teenagers' behavior.

  • Their right to have a private life.

  • (Your own idea).

Part 2: The Report (B2)

Word count: 140–190 words

Task: You work for a marketing agency. Your manager wants a report on the impact of celebrity endorsements on young consumers. Explain why teenagers buy products recommended by influencers and the risks of this trend. Suggest if the company should hire a celebrity for the next campaign.

📘 B2 Teacher's Guide: Tips & Models

Strategy: Usar verbos de reporte (claim, suggest, argue) y conectores de causa/efecto (Due to, Consequently).

Key Vocab (B2): Role model, lack of privacy, spotlight, endorsement, influence, scrutiny, mental health.

B2 Model Answer (Essay):

In the age of social media, the lives of celebrities are more visible than ever. This leads to a complex debate: should they be forced to act as role models for the younger generation?

Firstly, celebrities have a huge impact on teenagers. Many young people imitate their idols' fashion, language, and even their lifestyle. Consequently, if a famous person promotes unhealthy habits, it can be very damaging. Therefore, some argue that celebrities have a social responsibility to behave correctly in public.

However, we must not forget that they are also human beings. Like everyone else, they have the right to make mistakes and enjoy their private life away from the constant scrutiny of the media. Being in the spotlight 24/7 can lead to serious mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression.

In my opinion, while they should be aware of their influence, we cannot expect them to be perfect. Education should come from parents and schools, not from TikTok stars.

To conclude, although celebrities are influential, they deserve a balance between their public image and their personal freedom.
