We live in an era where getting home after an exhausting working day and coming across your coffee table being a mess with all kinds of devices is the vibe of the day. According to a recent article, 80% of our teenagers waste their time glued to the latest electronic devices for long periods. Since the article does not attack the root of the problem, I would raise two crucial factors which could presumably contribute to this.  Let’s get this straight and tackle the heart of the matter.

It cannot be denied that being tech-savvy has more upsides than downsides. Notwithstanding, we should pin down the far-reaching effects that misuse of these devices brings about. Oftentimes, our children are rewarded with expensive technological devices when passing an exam as though it is not their duty but an achievement. Tough as it may be, what children require the most is their parents’ attention.

Fortunately, it begins to dawn on parents that their children lack socialization skills since they rely on social media. Socializing is crucial for the mind and body, and a lack of it can negatively impact their lives. Bit by bit, children are signed up for extracurricular activities to be in contact with other peers. Oftentimes, it is like killing two birds with one stone by enrolling in a sports activity as they play sports while catching up with their mates.

To put it simply and succinctly, I cannot help but say that having an aptitude for technology could be beneficial for all and sundry. Despite this, young people are prone to misuse their electronic devices. Coming up with appealing ideas which prevent them from ending up isolated in their virtual world is our duty.
